Anand Goradia to enter Sony TV’s Maharana Pratap as the King of Bundi

Anand Goradia is all set to enter Contiloe Telefilms’ Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap on Sony Entertainment Television. He will play the role of Bundi Naresh Rao Surtan, a King who is very unjust in his dealings. Pratap (Faisal Khan) who has promised his mother Rani Jayawanta (Rajshri Thakur) that he will not touch any kind of weapons will hear of the cruel dealings of the Bundi King and will want to fight it out. Basically this will be a trap of the Mughals to attack Mewar. We tried contacting Anand but he remained unavailable for comments. Meanwhile, Salil Deshmukh who essayed Akbar has been replaced owing to health reasons and Arish Bhiwandiwala of Agneepath fame has replaced him. In addition to this, rookie actress Smita Dongre will be seen playing the role of Panna Dai, the caretaker of Uday Singh (Shakti Anand) in his childhood days. Her character will be brought up in a flashback sequence wherein Panna Dai had protected the young Udai Singh from the claws of death, by sacrificing her own son.
