MUMBAI: When someone dances the purpose in not to reach a particular place on a dance floor but to enjoy each step along the way. Anchal who would be seen essaying the role of Vashma in Sony Entertainment Television’s Kyu Utthe Dil Chhod ayae would be playing a girl who loves dancing. To make her role more appealing to the audience Anchal is seen brushing up her dancing skills.
Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Ayae is a love story set in 1947, Lahore, pre-partition India, Kyun Uthe Dil Chod Aaye narrates the story of three young girls - Amrit, Vashma and Radha. This story brings forth their dreams, hope, aspirations and new found love... all this at the brink of Independence.
Anchal in real life is also fond of dancing and has taken many dance classes in the past, so she has an idea about catching the beats of dancing. For a sequence in the show she had to perform a classical dance and to make sure that the sequence comes out beautifully, she was seen practicing with the choreographer every day. She also shared, she has been more inclined towards freestyle and western dance forms and this was the first time she was doing classical.
Anchal sharing her experience said “ I am not a trained dancer, but I love dancing and because of which I have attended few dance classes in the past . First time I am trying my hand at classical dance wearing ghungroos. Initially it was tough but with practice I could perform well. The entire crew was very supportive every day I used to practice with the choreographer”
