BARC Ratings: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah rockets to number one; Laughter Chef 2, Vasudha, and Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile climb the charts as Jadu Teri Nazar and Kumkum Bhagya Slip — Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta secure second and third spots

MUMBAI: The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has released its latest TRP ratings, and this week’s chart brings with it a refreshing shake-up in the Indian television landscape. With surprising climbs and unexpected drops, the rankings reflect shifting viewer preferences and evolving content trends.

In a dramatic turn, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has surged to the coveted number one position, reclaiming its place as the nation's favourite show. Hot on its heels, Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai hold strong at the second and third spots, continuing their consistent run of popularity among audiences.

The biggest surprise, however, comes from Laughter Chef 2, Vasudha, and Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, all of which have shown a remarkable climb in ratings. These shows have successfully broken into the top ten and twenty rankings, cementing their positions as rising stars on the small screen.

On the flip side, some long-standing favourites have seen a sharp dip in viewership. Jadu Teri Nazar and Kumkum Bhagya have dropped significantly in the charts, while Parineetii and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin have fallen out of the top twenty altogether.

With such dynamic changes in the TRP landscape, it's clear that audiences are embracing fresh narratives and new formats, while previously dominant shows are now being challenged to keep pace. The coming weeks promise even more twists in this ever-evolving ratings race.
