Barkha Bisht did not look like a mother of a 18 year old in Parvarrish - Vishal Singh

Vishal Singh
Vishal Singh is a happy man after featuring in Sony Entertainment Television’s parenting show, Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi and is now looking for something similar. Says he, “After doing lots of over the top drama, it was a refreshing change to do realistic acting. Playing the character of Jeet Ahuja aroused the fatherly instincts in me and even now I am in touch with the actors Aanchal Munjal (Raavi), Sparsh Khanchandani (Rashi) and Rakshit Wahi (Sunny) who played my kids in the show. I always guide them in their personal life as well.” Remind him that the numbers of the DJ's A Creative Unit presentation were on the lower side towards the end and he states, “I really don’t understand the funda of numbers and how accurate they are. Having said that I feel numbers of all shows have dropped. But I take satisfaction from the point that our concept was so well-received by one and all. We were talked about a lot for we did not go down the saas bahu route.” He also did not think that replacement of the female lead (Rupali Ganguly was pregnant, so Barkha Bisht Sengupta took her place) towards the end, further harmed the show. “Barkha is a good actress and we did not have any complaints, but maybe she did not look like the mother of an 18year old. However I did not have any issues in tuning with Barkha, for I was so well adjusted in my character.” Vishal who has been in the industry for over 20 years (Dekh Bhai Dekh, Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani and Kasamh Se etc) says, “The main mantra of surviving out here is to adapt yourself to changing times.” He also does not feel like many other senior artists, that the younger generation do not respect them. “Everybody from the actors to the unit guys give us the same attention which we gave to our seniors.” We hope you get your next challenging role soon, Vishal!!!
