MUMBAI: As the much-anticipated finale unfolds, former contestants return to the stage, adding excitement and drama to the grand concluding episode.
However, the evening took a tense turn when host Salman Khan addressed Baseer Ali’s recent remarks accusing the show of bias. In a sharp and candid exchange, Salman reprimanded Baseer for repeatedly speaking negatively about Bigg Boss despite the immense platform it provided him.
Salman reminded Baseer that if the show had chosen to amplify certain sensitive issues — including comments linked to his sexuality or statements that were misinterpreted — it could have caused significant harm to his public image. Yet, the production opted not to sensationalise those moments, respecting his dignity.
When Baseer defended himself by saying he “spoke from the heart”, Salman countered that such bitterness only damages his standing in the industry.
He pointed out that no major production house would willingly collaborate with someone who publicly discredits a show they were part of.
The superstar further revealed that Baseer’s eviction was purely vote-based, adding that he received far fewer votes than he believed.
If Baseer truly thought he had a massive fan following, Salman suggested he might need to reassess that perception.
Concluding the discussion, Salman remarked that if Baseer had such strong grievances against the show, attending the finale contradicted his claims.
He advised the former contestant to be more mindful of his words in future, especially when speaking about platforms that shaped his journey.
