MUMBAI: CID was indeed a legendary Indian television show, holding a special place in the history of Indian entertainment.
It aired on Sony TV from January 21, 1998, to October 27, 2018, making it one of the longest-running scripted TV shows in India, with an impressive 20-year run.
The show followed the investigative journeys of a team of detectives from the Crime Investigation Department, led by the iconic ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam.
CID is a successful show with its gripping storylines, unique blend of crime and drama, and memorable catch phrases like ACP Pradyuman's "Kuch toh gadbad hai." has made it an iconic show on television.
The camaraderie between the characters, including Inspector Abhijeet and Daya, along with the iconic "Daya, darwaza tod do!" moments, became a pop-culture phenomenon.
Now the show is back with Season 2 and the fans were super excited and gave this season a thumbs up as the show opened with good numbers.
Almost the entire star cast has been retained, but the fans were missing Dr. Tarika in the serial as her banter with Abhijeet was the highlight of the show.
In the recent episode the character of Abhijeet asks Dr. Salunke when will Dr, Tarika return back as she is going on a long leave, to which he says that she will be back soon and it’s sad that she hasn’t spoken to him recently.
Well, owing to this dialogue the fans are speculating that the actress will return back to the season and one would see the fun and romance banter between Abhijeet and her.
