MUMBAI: Bollywood and scandals are not a new thing, they are always entangled in some of the other controversies. From money laundering, malfunctions to drug cases, Bollywood indeed looks like a place filled with Drama. In the days just prior to Shah Rukh Khan's elder son Aryan Khan's detention by the NCB, Bollywood actor and Bigg Boss 7 Contestant  Armaan Kohli had gotten himself into some big trouble with the Narcotics Control Bureau!

Armaan Kohli is known for his work in films like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Virodhi, Jaani Dushman, Veer, Juaari, Qahar, and many other movies. And for his stint in the Bigg Boss house in the 7th Season, where he was also engulfed in controversies for being too aggressive and was accused by fellow Contestant Sofia Hayat of assault.

So, Armaan Kohli was arrested by the NCB on August 29th because the NCB seized 1.3 grams of cocaine from him, a small amount of cocaine. Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act sections were filed against the actor. In the aftermath, he was lodged at Arthur Road Jail.

As of Monday, the Bombay High Court rejected Armaan Kohli's bail application.  In contrast, the court granted bail to the other two co-accused, Kareem Dhanani and Imran Ansari, as it is said that no drugs were found on either of them.

Before he tried his luck at the High Court, the actor had put up his application at a special court but even that was declined due to his prima facie evidence of drug trafficking and purchase.

Armaan, however, argued that the NCB had no incriminating evidence against him. According to Jaani Dushman actor, no financial transactions took place between him and the alleged drug dealers. Vinod Chate, Kohli's lawyer, told the special court that his client was innocent and that he was falsely framed as part of the drug case.

Nevertheless, both the special court and the High Court rejected the bail plea when they considered the WhatsApp chats and videos that demonstrate the Illicit trafficking between Armaan and the drugs peddlers. Additionally, the court pointed out that the actor's chats need to be thoroughly investigated.
