Dalljit Kaur reveals how industry people’s perception changed toward her after son Jaydon was born

MUMBAI: Dalljiet Kaur is a well known actress in the television industry and she has been around for more than two decades.

She is best known for her roles in serials like Mano Ya Na Mano, Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?, Qayamat Ki Raat, Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega etc.

The actress had also made headlines as her first marriage with Shalin Bhanot came to an end after 6 years and they have a son named Jordan.

But the actress last year in the month of April had announced that she is getting married once again to business man Nikhil Patel and has shifted to Kenya.

Dalljit recently revealed how her work got immensely affected after her son Jaydon was born. Before he was born she was playing the iconic role of Anjali in Iss Pyaar Ki Kya Naam Doon but things soon changed drastically. She started getting roles of playing the hero’s mother and such type of roles. Her career took a complete u-turn, although she did not mind playing motherly roles, she fet she was still in the initial stages of her career and was afraid that her career would come to a standstill.

She mentioned that why don’t people feel that a woman can be a mother as well as play good roles? Why should they be stereotyped to only play mother’s roles. She said that women are great at multitasking and need to be given that chance.

Dalljit managed to break the stereotype as she was offered Karuna in Qayamat Ki Raat and later Kaala Teeka among other shows.
