Dheeraj Miglani, who is better known as Narad Muni of Ganesh Leela (Sahara One) is back in his favourite ‘Narayan Narayan’ avatar in Jai Jagjanani Maa Durga which will soon air on Colors.
“I just love this great Indian mythological character. People only talk about Narad Muni’s chugal khori (bitching), but he is a nice soul at heart who just wants to know in advance what is going to happen. Also he has a curse that he can’t stay at one place for long, hence he keeps moving between heaven and earth,”says Dheeraj.
This is Dheeraj’s fourth portrayal of Narad Muni, apart from the above two shows, he has essayed the same character in Surya Puran ( Pragya channel) and Babosa Mere Bhagwan (Sony) as well.
“The latter Sunday early morning show was not much watched, as it was as an AFP (Advertiser Funded Project) and not a channel commissioned property,” he adds.
This Delhi dude further informs us that, “he had been offered a character in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev (Life OK) as well, but he declined as he wanted to play Narad Muni only.”
He further feels that, “the success of Mahadev has given a shot in the arm to the entire mytho genre which already had a loyal viewership. Sagar Arts the producers of Maa Durga are already past masters of this God genre and they would certainly want to take things to the next level now.”
Besides mythos, Dheeraj has also done other shows such as Annu Ki Ho Gayi Wah Bhai Wah and Yeh Ishq Haaye (both Star One). “I have dabbled in films as well i.e. a small role in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and a second lead in Aashiqui.in, a small budget film which had released last year along with Patiala House,” he ends.
