Luck always plays a key factor in one’s success. However, at the moment it seems to have deserted Amrapali Gupta and Harpreet Deol completely in their endeavour to succeed on Ek Se Badhkar Ek. As it is, the duo has found the going tough in the competition. Now they’re laid low by external factors. While Harpreet continues to be dogged by fever, Amrapali hurt her leg while performing. Amrapali says, “I didn’t execute my jump properly and ended up hurting my right knee and ankle. Subsequent x-rays have revealed a ligament tear. My doctor has advised a month’s rest. However, that’s a luxury for TV stars. We have to perform day in and day out. My rehearsals have gone for a toss. I’ll be shooting for Ek Se.. tomorrow not knowing how it will pan out. Right now, I’ve got my knee and toe bandaged.” Double trouble as Amrapali’s singer partner Harpreet continues to battle both physically and mentally. Amrapali quips, “Harpeet hasn’t been keeping good health. That apart, he’s also upset for not being able to choose his song. He’s more comfortable singing those Hindi-cum-Punjabi tracks. Unfortunately, people misconstrued it as poor attitude. However, he’s a brilliant singer and will fight back.” Is their paring wrong or are the stars simply not favouring them? The petite actress says, “Our director too told us that perhaps, shani humpar bhari hai. We’re hoping for a change in our fortunes.”
