TellyChakkar spoke to Mouli Ganguly about her experience in Bal Shiv, playing different characters and her bond with Rahil Azam:

1. How has your experience been playing the role of Anusuya on the show?

The experience has been very nice, I was nurtured in the role slowly by a very talented creative team. Because mythological shows are a challenge anyway because of all the work involved, be it language or costumes. We did a lot of workshops to get into the character and we have a wonderful team of actors and especially working with such a talented kid Aan Tiwari, I really enjoy every moment with him, I get to see him learn new things and grow as an actor each day which is just wonderful.

2. From playing a negative role in Jamai Raja to playing the role of Mahasati, how has that shift been for you?

As an actor, I feel one should not be limited to a genre or character or be put in a box but rather should be given the opportunity to tap into different areas of versatility, I am really happy and grateful that I got all the opportunities to play different kinds of characters be it protagonist, antagonist, desi or modern, simpleton, glamourous, etc. I really hope to play all shades as an actor and with immense love and that's the fun of being an actor.

3. Fans recently saw a picture of you and Rahil Azam on sets but in your respective characters' costumes but they did feel elated, do you guys keep in touch and how was that reuniting with a costar?

Yes, he is a very dear old friend since 'Kahin Kisi Roz', we have had a friendship of nearly two decades. We do keep in touch over the phone, he is busy shooting for Maddam Sir whose sets are just next to ours and we don't get to spend time together often because of work pressure but that day we managed to take out time.
