Exclusive! I am okay with people still remembering me as Tappu: Bhavya Gandhi

MUMBAI: Bhavya Gandhi is still known for his character portrayal of Tappu in Sony SAB’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. After being associated with the show for 8 long years, the actor opted out of it in order to pursue a full-fledged career in the movies.

He made his film debut in 2017 with Pappa Tamne Nahi Samjaay and has done films like Bau Na Vichar and Baap Kamaal Dikro Dhamaal. He also appeared in Shaadi Ke Siyape.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Bhavya and asked how it feels when people still remember him as Tappu.

“I am okay with people still calling or remembering me as Tappu. I feel that at least they recall me for my role and shower their love on me. In the end, it is fans’ love that matters.”

Are you in touch with the cast of Taarak Mehta. Do you manage to watch the show?

“Yes, I'm in touch with them. But I don't get to watch the show every day. I do keep checking their reels and short clips on Instagram.”

Are you in touch with your on-screen TMKOC parents?

“I absolutely am! Whenever I'm doing anything new, I let them know and ask for their perspective on it. Dilip Sir very subtly gives me advice.”

Have you met Disha (Vakani) recently?

“Yes, I recently met her, and she is doing absolutely fine.”

Good luck, Bhavya!
