MUMBAI: Sayantani Ghosh is one actor who has shown her versatility with every project that she has taken up in her career.
She is currently a part of Tera Yaar Hoon Main on SAB TV, which is much sought after because of the uniqueness of the drama. Speaking exclusively to Tellychakkar.com, Sayantani shared, “Looking at the scenario of Rajiv and Daljeet, it will be a huge emotional set back to the family. After a very dynamic equation now there comes a question - like what will happen? What will be the reaction? With the situation where the judge has turned out to be the relative, will Daljeet lose custody? With the turnaround of situations, it makes interesting for the viewers to watch about what will happen further, whether the truth will be out or no?”
Sayantani looks extremely different and her character is as distinguished as he look in the show.
Expressing her thoughts on the same, Sayantani shared, “That’s what makes our job so much more interesting and I’ve always said this in all my interviews that in the given set up of television, I atleast when I choose my work, I try and do something that is different from my immediate period work. This could be either in terms of genre or the character itself.
People generally don’t associate me with comedy and there is a general perception that when it comes to me, people link mythological or fantasy based shows organically. I would say the credit goes to my producer Shashi Mittal who is the creator of the show and also to the channel. I am a Bengali but because of the way my character of Daljeet is designed in the show, it does not come across as a believable fact that I am not a Punjabi. And I think that mindset shows how much success the show has achieved and the connect we have found with the audience!
I would take that as an appreciation for my hard work, because Daljeet is not Punjabi just by name, she speaks in Punjabi, she behaves like a Punjabi woman and that makes it so much more interesting!
Sayantani also recently had a small reunion with her Sanjeevani 2 co-actors.
When asked about how the reunion went, Sayantani shared, “That was lot of fun. We’ve been planning the reunion since 2019 till the show wrapped up and obviously covid had different plans. We’ve not been able to meet up. We did not plan a reunion actually, it was impromptu. We took special care that everybody is vaccinated and healthy. Keeping the rules and safety measures in mind we planned the reunion and it was special for us! We had a lot to catch up on and remembered the time we spent shooting for Sanjeevani 2.”
Well said Sayantani! (Also Read: EXCLUSIVE! As an actor, I feel very safe working with Rajan Shahi and Director’s Kut Productions: Swati Chitnis aka Suhasini Goenka on experience shooting for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai)
