MUMBAI: Mehndi Hai Rachne Wali has been keeping the audience on the edge of their seats from a long time now.

The Star Plus show is based on Star Maa's Telugu series Gorintaku. Produced by SOL Productions and Sandiip Films, it stars Shivangi Khedkar and Sai Ketan Rao playing the roles of Pallavi and Raghav.

In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Sai shared his experience shooting for the show.

He said, “I am just loving each and every day of Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali. The whole team of the show has become like an absolute family! The role of Raghav Rao made me give a nod to this show. I am just like how he is."

Speaking about his bonding with Shivangi Khedkar, who plays the role of Pallavi in the show, Sai stated, "We both are theatre actors and down the line we are making our hard work come on the screen." We further asked him what his first reaction was when he knew that Shivangi was roped in opposite him for the show.

Sai said, "There was nothing too much. I saw her for the first time and we greeted each other. We met during the script reading and she was wearing a dress. I pondered how she will pull off the role in a saree as Pallavi wears a saree but I must say that she rocked the attire and the role."

Mehendi Hai Rachnewali is a story of how two completely different individuals come together to love each other. Pallavi Deshmukh is a widow, but she's much more than that. She lives with her in laws and is very close to them, despite the passing away of her husband on her wedding night. She runs the family saree shop.

Raghav Rao is a business magnate and owns Jayanti Jewels. He is a loner and is all for money. One day, these polar opposites meet. They both hate each other with all their heart, but they get married due to responsibilities and oaths. Soon, things begin falling into place and the duo fall-in-love. However, their happiness is all jinxed when it is revealed that her ex-husband is actually alive and is back to ruin the newly weds’ lives.
