Exclusive! I would love to play a character similar to that of Anil Kapoor in Ishwar or Shah Rukh Khan in Darr and Anjaam: Visha

MUMBAI: Vishal Gandhi has been part of the entertainment industry for a decade now. He rose to fame as Kabir in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and as Mihir Sukhadia in Tamanna.

Vishal is currently seen as Tej Ahlawat in Zee TV's drama series Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet. The show marked his comeback after a long break.

TellyChakkar got in touch with him and asked if Meet has been a game-changer for him.

He replied, “Yes, I took a gap of 4 years, so my character was really appreciated by my fans. I also started getting calls for more work. It feels great to be noticed for the kind of work that you do. I'm eternally grateful to the makers of Meet for giving me this character.”

How has it been after returning to television after a long gap?

“Returning to television always feels like home, because it's my first love. I started my journey with television. But I wasn't completely away from television. I didn't want to commit to any long show, so I was doing ads and episodics.”

What kind of characters do you plan on exploring further?

“I want to play the character of a mentally unstable person. Apart from that, I would love to play a character similar to that of Anil Kapoor in Ishwar or Shah Rukh Khan in Darr and Anjaam. The characters are so obsessive and consuming that it will be interesting to play them.”

Keep up the good work, Vishal!
