MUMBAI: After ruling hearts with their appearance in Bigg Boss 14, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla are all set to take fans on an exciting journey in the couple’s upcoming MX Player series Wanderlust. As the name suggests, the trailer of Wanderlust shows Abhinav-Rubina exploring picturesque locales of Abu Dhabi and doing all things touristy. From trying different cuisines to exploring hidden gems, the couple is seen living their best life.

Could you throw some light on your upcoming show Wanderlust?

It will be streaming on MX player from 4th March. It would be a travel-based show in Abu Dhabi. It has been one of our best works together, as we both love traveling and adventure. It was a great package overall.

How is it different from other shows?

Rubina- The key difference is it doesn't include sightseeing as normal travel videos. It's about how you get immersed in the adventures and that's what Wanderlust is all about.

Abhinav - There are so many things to do in Abu Dhabi, from long drives to beaches and Islands.

Has this project helped you to know each other better?

Abhinav- Yes, it was the first time I saw Rubina holding a rifle and she was good at it.

Rubina- I think I got to know his different nuances and depth of his character. Also, I saw a different level of discipline in him.

What was the most annoying thing that you came across while traveling?

Abhinav - traffic and crowd at the airport. I hate flights! But I don't have any other option.

Which next country is on your wish list?

We want to travel the world!

What kind of roles are you wanting to play?

Abhinav - The kind of roles I wanted to play have been played by other actors. Either I didn't get the offer or if I did I couldn't clear the audition or face test.

Rubina - Nothing that I could think of right now.

Is there any struggle or discrimination you faced as a woman?

Rubina - Career wise faced discrimination based on the pay scale which I have overcome by myself. And also, Abhinav never forced me to change my last name, so he broke the stereotype for me. So, I didn't have to struggle in my personal life.

Abhinav - In cities, the situation is almost good I suppose. The villages on the other side are changing gradually.

Rubina and Anubhav got married in 2018 after many years of dating. Anubhav and Rubina have worked opposite each other in 'Choti Bahu'. Abhinav and Rubina also participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 14.
