MUMBAI : Parineetii is one of the most loved TV shows among the audience due to its intriguing storyline and unique plot. The story consists of one man getting married to two women who are friends.

Fans love the chemistry of Aanchal Sahu aka Parineet, Tanvi Dogra aka Neetii, and Ankur Verma aka Rajeev.

A sacred bond of marriage tangles the lives of Parineet, Neeti, and Raj. Fate leads two best friends to marry the same man, ensuing in a complicated love triangle.

Parineet has this very protective instinct towards Neeti, which sometimes harms her in return. But this protective instinct is very strong. What is that bond like for you, and where do you draw the inspiration from to pull off scenes like that?

I think because Parineet and Neeti have been childhood best friends, and Parineet is very protective about her relationships and bonds. When it comes to Neeti, she doesn’t think about anyone; she gets blindsided. She has even sacrificed Rajeev for Parineet because she loves her the most. When we are about to do scenes like that, I keep playing the song from our show like ‘Yeh teri meri dosti’ in the back of my mind. So that helps a lot. Whatever initial scenes happened which established our friendship really well, I keep that in the back of mind as well, and I kind of relate that here and think about how strong the friendship is.

You have played a very different character before this, do you see any similarities between Bondita and Parineet, or are they absolute opposites?

I feel like somewhere they are both very similar. The core personalities of Bondita and Parineet are similar, but Parineet is very docile and Bondita was a force of nature. She was very jolly and obviously, she was a barrister. She could express her feelings and say what she wanted. But Parineet is very docile; she is very reserved and bound by relationships. I feel like when all these restrictions and worries leave her, she can be fierce as well.

Talking about Bondita, the story is taking a new chapter forward and it will be seen in a new avatar. Will you be watching Durga Aur Charu?

I watched the first episode with my mother and we had tears in our eyes because I think that show is so close to me, that I really get goosebumps when I hear the title track. And when the episode started, it had flashbacks and Pravisht’s voiceover, and later they die. I felt like this character had gone away from me and I got really emotional. But it’s a new chapter now, and I just really love Bondita.
