MUMBAI: Kumkum Bhagya is a drama produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms.

It premiered on 15 April 2014 on Zee TV and is also digitally available on ZEE5. The series stars Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia as main leads. Since March 2019, Mugdha Chaphekar, Pooja Banerjee and Krishna Kaul were also introduced as leads of the second generation alongside Sriti and Shabbir. The concept is based on Jane Austen's 1811 novel Sense and Sensibility.

Reyhna Pandit is an integral cast of the show and in an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Reyhna revealed about her own sense of style and the glamourous roles she essays in the show too.

Reyhna shared, “In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Reyhna Pandit said, "Fashion is something that comes very naturally to me. I do not plan in my personal life that I have to wear this or that. I get atleast a bit of edgy look unintentionally. I like to dress up out of the box. Right now in Kumkum Bhagya I am flaunting a traditional look for a change and I am liking it. For the first time I am comfortable with less makeup and I have never appeared with my hair tied in braids. It is a good change. I hope I have worked well for the audience."

Kumkum Bhagya is a love story of Pragya and Abhi who are destined to be together against all odds. The series started as the story of sisters Pragya and Bulbul, and their mother Sarla Arora's hope to see them married. Later, the show revolved around Abhi and Pragya.

Later a 20-year leap was introduced. The show was rebranded as "Dusri Pidhi". The story now revolves around the married lives of Prachi-Ranbir and Rhea-Siddharth.

Krishna Kaul, who is an integral member of the cast, has also tried his hands on singing along with acting. We asked him about his passion for singing and in an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, he shared, “Not really! Was giving it a shot. I might do it some another time but not professionally right now.”

The story is introduced by Anil Nagpal and the show is directed by Ravindra Gautam, Sameer Kulkarni, Sharad Pandey, Jeetu Arora and Deepak Chavan.
