Gaurav Gera lashes out at producers over non-payment of dues

Gaurav Gera, the ace comedian, is known to be a happy go lucky person in the industry.

This time, the man seems to be rather irked with the producers of his play Jhumroo, who have constantly being delaying his payments over a period of two and a half years.

Produced by The Great India Nautanki Company, which is a combined venture of Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Apra Group of Companies and Raghbeer Group of Companies, Gaurav essayed a prominent role in Jhumroo.

When we buzzed Gaurav, he replied, “I have been waiting for long to receive my dues. Whenever I used to contact anyone from the producers, surprisingly, their mothers became ill. Initially, I used to believe them that they might be facing some genuine issue. After waiting for a long period of time, I am really fed up with this and I wanted to raise my voice. I am well aware that there are many artists like me, whose plea mostly go unnoticed. And I believe that this is the time when everyone will pay attention to my say, hence I thought this is the apt time to ask for my well deserved money.”

“Few years ago, when I was shooting for Pammi Pyarelaal, I was working continuously without a break only to make sure that I can be part of the play as well. I have given my efforts behind this and this is my hard earned money, do I really deserve this kind of behaviour? The makers have not reverted to my legal notice sent to them”, added Gaurav.

Is the industry supporting you Gaurav? “See CINTAA has promised to resolve my issues and they have been there by my side. Apart from CINTAA and very few of the actors, the fraternity has not really been quite supportive. To be honest, I really don’t expect them to be, as they are also scared that they might also land up into trouble post this. What I am really looking forward to is the support of the masses, who have loved me for all these years.”

Before signing off Gaurav mentioned that he is not much in favour of going the legal way as it would take lot of time, but he wants the producers to take a notice of the matter and clear his payements.

Even we hope for the same Gaurav.
