MUMBAI: Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which premiered on December 3, 2013, quickly became one of Indian television’s most beloved dramas. Running successfully for six years before going off-air on December 18, 2019, the show earned immense popularity for its emotional storytelling and strong performances.
It was particularly praised for its portrayal of relationships, especially the bond between Ishita and Ruhi. Young actress Ruhanika Dhawan, who played Ruhi, won hearts with her adorable presence and acting skills. Fans adored her on-screen chemistry with Divyanka Tripathi and still cherish her as one of the show’s most memorable and loved characters.
Well, little Ruhi is all grown now and there are times when her pictures melt fans’ hearts as they realize how quickly the time has passed. The child actress is all grown up and is still a favourite one for fans.
In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, on the occasion of Father’s Day, we got Ruhanika’s father on call and got to know some unseen aspects of the love they share.
When asked Ruhanika to describe her bond with her father and to compare it with a dish, she compared it with Pav Bhaji and Falooda. And when it was her father’s turn, he said, “She is just like, you know, cherry on a cake.”
It was asked to Ruhanika’s father if she is a born superstar who spends a lot. To this, he answered by saying, “She’s a born superstar and tons of talent she has got, and she’s very miser. She wants to save every penny of her earnings and then reinvest it in something and then she will ask me ‘Papa where to invest’.” Interestingly, Ruhanika clarified laughingly that she spends others’ money.
When asked to Ruhanika’s father about how proud he is after seeing the actress interacting with media, being in the list of TV celebs at such a young age. To this, he replied by saying, “For parents like us, it is limitless. We can’t imagine and everyday we see her growing and we are thinking that this is the best gift we have got from god.”
