Harsh Vashisth becomes victim of debit card fraud

Technology somewhere has made life easier for us, but on the hindsight has been creating major troubles too. Popular face Harsh Vashisth known for his portrayal in shows like Kumkum, Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, Veera, Doli Armaanon Ki, Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali among many, faced the music of technology fraud today morning (25 June). The actor woke up in the morning to 10 text messages informing about a lakh being withdrawn from his account. And shockingly the transaction happened in Jakarta, Indonesia. Harsh immediately called the bank, and got to know that his card had been skimmed when he had used it a month back on a holiday in Bali. Shared the actor, “It is a disgusting practice and I am appalled at what just happened with me. The bank has been very co-operative and told me that skimming is a practice where your card is duplicated while you use the ATM. And when you punch in the credentials it gets recorded. Hackers use it to withdraw money later. It is a really scary thing and I hope people would get aware of such malfunctioning and take precautions to not fall for such frauds.” Harsh has been assured of proper investigation by the bank by getting to the bottom of the matter. We hope he gets back his monies, and for others, be safe!
