I always wanted to play a typical Mumbai girl, and Trisha is very similar to it - Snigdha Shrivastava

Snigdha Shrivastava who has played the lead in shows like Rahe Tera Aashirwaad, Shorr and has been seen in shows like Kumkum – Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan is playing a challenging role, that of Trisha in Zee TV’s Doli Armaanon Ki. The girl who is married to Tayyab Malik, working in the creative team of Jay Productions is excited about working at her own norms, as well as managing home. Says Snigdha, “When Shorr got over, I planned to get back after a break of 7-8 months. But then, nothing enticed me to get back. Nowadays, lead faces in the age group of 18-20 get more preference. And going by my face, I could not do a vampish role. Also, I was not much inclined to doing comedy on TV. So when this role of Trisha was offered to me, it was similar to what I actually had in mind. I always wanted to play a typical Mumbai girl who does not think twice to give it back. I am very similar to Trisha in real life and playing this role came naturally to me.” Talking about her off-screen rapport with Neha Marda, Snigdha states, “You can say that Neha and I are the best of buddies on the set. We actually met for the first time at the airport where the entire crew was to leave to Jhansi for shoot. That is when we greeted each other, but by the time we got down from the flight, we had gelled so well that I cannot explain in words. I should compliment Neha for being very approachable and sweet. We have a fun-time when together on sets.” Getting back to her character in the Pearl Grey show on Zee TV, the actress explains, “Well, Trisha is a person who has been warning Urmi about Samrat not being the right person for her. But now that Urmi and Samrat are married, she wishes that Urmi has a happy married life. In future, when things will go out of hand for Urmi, Trisha will be a main pillar in her life.” In addition to Neha, Snigdha feels Mohit Malik who essays the unpredictable Samrat in the show, is very co-operative. “The first scene I shot for the show was where I had to go and blast Samrat. It was very tough on me to get into the skin of the character at one go. But I must say that Mohit has always been very supportive.” Snigdha who has been married for two years now is not very eager to get into a family life soon. “No, we have not thought about it yet. Tayyab, since he is from the industry knows the tough timings under which we usually shoot. I get all the support from him. And the fact that I am not the protagonist in Doli Armaanon Ki makes things simpler for me; I get time for my husband as well as work too.” Snigdha is glad that she was married and had her husband for support when she went through a lean patch post Shorr. “Well, I literally had nothing to do at that moment. Thinking of it I feel I would have gone mad if I was not married then. Since I had my husband and family life, I got engrossed into it and my wait for my next project on TV became simpler.” We wish you luck, Snigdha!!
