"I always wanted to do a film"
I always had aspirations for the silver screen. Sometime back I had done a cameo in the Nana Patekar -starrer Gulam-E-Mustafa. Now, I am doing a crossover film, titled Zindagi. It's a small budget crossover film in which we try to laugh at death. I play a cancer patient who falls in love with a nurse. He has very few precious days left of his life but he decides to live it up till the end.
"My first reality show"
Comedy Circus will be my first reality show. I am quite excited about it and I see it as an opportunity to reinvent myself. There are definitely going to be some unexpected surprises along the way. As actors, very few shows give us this opportunity to really improvise on the script and face a live audience. There are no set dialogues here and one is expected to develop the script on a particular topic. Chemistry with one's partner will play a very important role to get the comic timing right.
My other projects
Currently, I am doing Ye Re Ye Re Paisa, De Danadan and Adhuri Ek Kahaani. I love to do Marathi shows, as I believe they also reach to out to a huge audience. Not just that, but even the characters are very beautifully sketched.
"I am very lucky"
I am very happy to be an actor. Also, I feel I've been very lucky to have done so many different roles. In spite of having played a natkat Krishna I was still offered a variety of offbeat roles in Kehta Hai Dil and Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand. In fact, in Des later I underwent a complete image makeover. I was transformed into a responsible man who sees through his wife's manipulations and is ready for a showdown.
