Now it is confirmed that the show will take a leap and lead actors Paridhi Sharma and Himanshu Malhotra will no longer be part of it. The new characters will be introduced around Valentine's Day on the show, we hear from the sources.
Delhi girl Simran Tomar is going to play the role of grown-up Chikoo in the show. While Simran is finalised for the female lead, we hear that Sai Ketan Rao, who was last seen in the show Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali, has been approached to play the male lead opposite Simran. "Simran is a successful model and actress. She has worked in several films in Bollywood, Kollywood, and Tollywood. She has also delivered international modeling assignments for reputed brands," informed a source.
In a recent interaction, producer Nilanjana Purkayasstha confirmed the development.
"The show is taking a ten-year leap, which will see Chikoo in college now. The track will focus on how she wants to become a dancer and achieve her dreams and goals. The leap will happen around Valentine's Day. There will be a new love angle in the show and new leads, who are yet to be finalised," she said.
