The latest TRP ratings for the week ending 25 April 2012 turned out to be just as expected. IPL is still affecting the show aired on GECs. SET Max has been able to sustain its numero uno position with 344 GRPs. Star Plus tipped a bit (having gained 249, while last week it gained 262), and so did Imagine (for obvious reasons) and SAB TV.

Star Plus’ Diya Aur Bati Hum retains its number position with 4.1 TRPs. Sony Entertainment Television gained from last week (206) this week it gained 209 GRPs. The telecast of Vidya Balan starrer The Dirty Picture would have saved Sony, though it maintains its second position.
Zee TV, which was at fourth position, last week, is at third position; this could be attributed to the fact that its dance reality show, Dance India Dance season 3, telecast its finale episode this weekend. The episode garnered 3.2 TRPs.
Life OK’s Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava, SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Sony Entertainment Television’s Crime Patrol and Colors’ Balika Vadhu earned the highest TRPs for their channel.
With IPL Final still a distant dream, wonder what the future holds for GECs.
