Khichdi fame cast Anang Desai and Vandana Pathak to make a cameo appearance in Big Magic's Mahisagar

The producers of Big Magic’s Mahisagar have a special surprise in store for the audience this weekend with Anang Desai and Vandana Pathak of Khichdi fame entering the show. The veteran actors have been roped in for a special Maha episode where they’ll be seen fighting the forces of corruption. Here, Anang Desai’s character will be shown to be someone who returns to India from US to only learn about his property being used by an illegal owner. Thus, he will plan to fight and Mahi (Dharti Bhatt) will help him in the same by roping in his friend. And the character of Anang Desai’s friend will be played by Vandana Pathak. When contacted, the senior actor confirmed his entry and said, “In this episode, Vandana and I will be school friends of Ansuya. My character will be based in the US and will recently come back to India for a visit. He will be shocked to find that his ancestral property has been illegally captured during his absence.” “It was such an honor working with television legends like Anang and Vandana. Having watched them growing up, I was quite scared when I first met them. But they quickly put me at ease and even tutored me through some of the scenes” confesses Dharti Bhatt. She further went on to add, “As a huge Khichdi fan, this episode is very special to me and I’m sure viewers are going to love seeing this iconic duo back on the small screen.” This special episode will air at 7:30pm this Saturday, 7th December 2013.
