MUMBAI: With the OTT boom continuing to redefine the entertainment landscape, a fresh and dynamic storytelling format is rapidly gaining popularity across digital platforms — verticals.
TellyChakkar had earlier exclusively reported that Junooniyatt and Bigg Boss 16 fame Gautam Vig has been roped in for a brand-new vertical by Vahafilx. A source close to the project revealed, “Gautam will be seen playing the male lead in an upcoming vertical for Vahafilx. The shoot is set to begin in the second week of November 2025.”

Now, TellyChakkar.com has exclusively learned about the female lead of the project. According to highly placed sources, Kumkum Bhagya actress Aarchi Sachdeva has been finalized to star opposite Gautam Vig. Interestingly, Aarchi has previously shared screen space with Gautam in Junooniyatt.
Aarchi has showcased her acting skills in several popular shows, including Swaran Ghar, Kumkum Bhagya, Junooniyatt, and Meeth Khatta Pyaar Hamara, among others. We couldn’t get in touch with her for a comment.
Short-form, mobile-first projects like verticals are designed specifically for vertical viewing, catering to today’s smartphone-driven audience. Unlike traditional web shows or films, verticals emphasize crisp, visually engaging storytelling that’s perfect for on-the-go consumption. The rising popularity of this format reflects the evolving viewing habits of audiences who prefer quick yet impactful narratives.
