MUMBAI: This year on July 10, 2025, we celebrate Guru Purnima. On this occasion people honor and express gratitude towards their Gurus (teachers) and others who guide them to a path of knowledge and spiritual growth.
In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Aarchi Sachdeva, who plays the character of Payal in Kumkum Bhagya, opened up about the role of her mother in her success and also stated that she would like to acknowledge her on this Guru Purnima.
Sharing her thoughts on Guru Purnima, Aarchi said, "On this Guru Purnima, I want to honor my first and forever teacher — my mother. Growing up, she was not just a parent. She was my sounding board, my emotional anchor, my fiercest supporter. She taught me to be resilient without becoming hard, to dream big while staying rooted, and to walk through life with kindness and dignity. I still remember when I decided to pivot from my career as an air hostess to the unpredictable world of acting.
She added, "While others doubted, she simply smiled and said, ‘If this is where your heart is, I will walk with you.’ That unwavering faith — that’s what shaped me. Her strength holds our family together, her patience calms every storm, and her wisdom lights my path even on the most uncertain days. Whatever I am today — and all that I dream of becoming — I owe it to her. She is my Guru in every sense of the word, and I am eternally grateful."
