Lavanya 'Sahdev’ Bhardwaj's brush with death

Lavanya Bhardwaj
‘I open at the close’ might have been a fictional sentence in Harry Potter, but it surely has a lot of truth to it. Well, this is what happened with the good looking and talented Lavanya Bhardwaj who just realised the value of life when it was almost about to slip from him. The actor, who is playing Sahdev in Star Plus’ magnum opus show Mahabharat (Swastik Productions), met with an accident early morning day before yesterday (15 July). Lavanya, who visited Mumbai for a day, was returning to Umergaon to shoot, when the truant rains played an evil trick on him. Sharing more about the misfortunate accident he says, “I hadn’t slept well the night before and as I was going towards Gujarat on the highway, it was raining too heavily. The mist and fog made it impossible to see ahead clearly. And soon I dashed into a truck that was just ahead me.” “Post that my car took a 60 degree turn twice before hitting the road divider really badly. I called up the vehicle authorities and my car was towed away. My friend then picked me up and dropped me on the sets and I continued my shooting normally,” he informs. The incident, we asked must have been quite a ‘shakeup’ experience. “Of course it was. The first turn that my car took I was thinking I will be dead; the second one made me cringe on what my parents will go through if I die. I was really scared and I am so thankful that I am all fine. Nobody actually believes that I came out of such an accident without even a scratch on my body. It’s all thanks to the prayers of my family and well wishes of all my fans,” concludes Lavanya. Take care young man!
