They were arguably one of the most adored pairs of MTV's youth show Splitsvilla 9. But looks like Martina Thariyan and Varun Sood have called it quits, a leading entertainment site has reported.
Even though they are one of the favourite couples to win the show, their offscreen relationship seems to have fizzled out.
Their easy chemistry and good looks fetched them a number of fans, who are quite upset with this alleged development in their personal lives.
Varun took to social media to say, "Its funny how some people just change in a couple of months. Thanks for everything. I should have known before."
His cryptic tweet is an indication of Martina's supposed current lover, Suraj Chaajed, with whom she has many pictures on social media platforms. Interestingly, the site added that she was allegedly seeing him even before her entry on the couple-based series.
Varun added to the site, "Yes she is a beautiful person..she chose a different path..different people. See her snapstory, I was also taken aback. You need to understand. She is with Suraj. I can’t force her. She is happy. It was her decision."
He not only dismissed questions that called his relationship with her fake, but also warned his fans against bad-mouthing her. He threatened to block anybody who went against his people, the site stated further. He also stated that the separation was mutual, "Damn! Its like you guys have never had a separation! We ended it mutually like adults! @martina3003 and me are still friends! Stop it now."
Martina also posted a message on her micro-blogging site where she urged her fans to leave the issue alone. She stated, "Guys enough with the hate comments regarding me, Varun and Suraj. Everything was done with mutual consent. Pls respect our personal spaces."
Suraj on his part seems to be deeply in love with Martina as he shared the pic:
