Music is as important as socialising: Himansh Kohli

MUMBAI: Can you imagine life without music? It is as important to life as adding salt to food. Life will become so bland otherwise. But music has a different meaning to everyone. For some it acts like a stress buster, an energy booster for some and a mood-enhancer for some. So for Himansh Kohli, it is as important as socialising.

He feels due to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown though socialising has become very limited, music is still unlimited and is keeping the spice alive in our lives.

Talking on the occasion of World Music Day, which is celebrated on June 21, he said, "Music is as important as socialising. I can't imagine or live my life without both. These days socialising is limited, but music is unlimited. That keeps me in my happy space, enhances my mood and it is also a big stress buster."

The actor made his Bollywood debut with "Yaariyan" and the song "Sunny sunny" from the film soon became a chartbuster.

Sharing the kind of music he prefers, he said, "I have my morning jazz tunes, or hindi 90s peppy tracks which I wake up to. I think one should play songs as per their mood, if you are happy listen to peppy songs, if you are sad listen to happy and songs with positive vibes. These days I feel like I should be curating playlists. I have a private list for every mood — happy, low, workaholic, for my workout, for cooking, and many more."

"I enjoy old hindi music remixed to current tastes like MadStarBase on YouTube. I also enjoy Indie music a lot, my favourites would be The Sine Painter and Horsepowar on Soundcloud," Himansh signed off.
