MUMBAI : Rapper Raftaar, whose real name is Dilin Nair, has filed for divorce from his wife Komal Vohra after six years of marriage. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2016, had been reportedly living separately for some time now. Their six years of marriage is likely to come to an end in October this year. They filed for divorce in 2020, around the time of the pandemic, which led to the delay in the final proceedings. A source close to the couple confirms, “Everything was delayed due to the pandemic. They will sign the divorce papers on October 6.”

The news of Raftaar and Komal unfollowing each other on social media, and deleting their wedding pictures, in fact, any photo together has been spreading like a wildfire. However, things were not always like this always. There was a time when they were madly in love; there was a time when their social media PDA used to be the talk of the town. Raftaar and Komal Vohra met through a common friend back in 2011. It was a Bollywood-style encounter, as they saw each other for the first time at a mutual friend's party and soon started dating each other and their courtship period was of good 5 years. Thereafter, they decided to tie the knot.

Back then, Raftaar was not the popular artist that he is today. Reportedly, in one of the interviews, Raftaar mentioned that he fell for Komal and knew that she was the right match for him because she loved him before he became ‘Raftaar’. She loved Dilin.

According to the reports, when Komal’s parents started asking her if she is seeing any man, she straight aways talked to Raftaar about it. He said she should go ahead and tell them. Komal’s parents wanted to set a meeting with Raftaar and his family. It was like a match made in heaven, as both the parents loved their future son and daughter-in-law.

The couple had a small but beautiful engagement in Taj, Delhi. It was one of the most memorable days in both Raftaar and Komal’s life.
