No bold scenes for Tellywood’s Bipasha

Though she plays Bipasha in Zee’s Ardhangini, Monaz Mevawala is not as bold as her namesake. The vivacious girl refused to shoot an intimate scene with Ajay Krish. After expressing her inhibitions, the director did alter the scene but Monaz still wasn’t comfortable with the canned shot and requested that the particular scene be taken off. The director did not accede to her request.

After expressing her inhibitions, the director did alter the scene but Monaz still wasn’t comfortable with the canned shot and requested that the particular scene be taken off. The director did not accede to her request. Apparently, Monaz was briefed about her character’s requirement and she had initially agreed to do the bold scenes. When the moment arrived, she developed cold feet. Creative Head Bhavna says, “She agreed to it but when the time came, she did have her reservations.” When contacted Mona replied, “Firstly, I never agreed to do such scenes. As an actor, I’m never comfortable doing bold scenes. I expressed my reservation and they agreed to alter the scene.” Was Bipasha required to lock lips? She replies, “No. It didn’t involve any kiss. I merely had to seduce Ajay very gently.” When asked whether she asked for the scene to be pulled off, Monaz chides, “Even though I completed the shot, I still wasn’t happy with the overall outcome of it. So, I requested the production to not telecast it. However, that’s their call and I respect their decision.”
