MUMBAI: Ashvini Yardi's next, a comedy-drama on Sab TV, is in the making. The makers have finally got their Jamai, who will play the central character.
TellyChakkar exclusively reported about popular TV actor Avinash Sachdev bagging the comedy show being produced under Vini Yards' Films. However, it seems things didn't work out Sachdev.
According to latest developments, there has been a change in the casting.
A source exclusively informs TellyChakkar that after a series of changes, the makers have finalized actor Karanvir Sharma as the lead. 'The decision has been taken overnight yesterday,' a source reveals.
Karanvir has not been seen much on Indian TV. He started his career with Bollywood films. He was the lead in 2014's Zid and was last seen in ALTBalaji's Haq Se.
The reason for the change is still unclear. Nonetheless, as per our reports, Avinash never signed the dotted lines.
'The makers will soon shoot the show in four days with Karanvir,' an informer adds.
For the role of sasur, actor Manoj Joshi has been roped in.
We tried contacting Avinash, Karanvir, and Ashivini and even sent them texts but didn't get a revert until the time of filing this story.
