Pankit Thakker aka Chetan Rawal of Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha talks about his iconic show Special Squad, recalls the day he lost his dear friend and co-star Kuljeet Randhawa

Pankit talks about his favorite show Special Squad.

MUMBAI: Pankit Thakker is a very popular and successful actor on television, and he has been in the industry for more than two decades. 

He began his career with Balaji telefilms Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii and rose to fame and popularity with his roles in Dill Mill Gayye and Special Squad. 

Currently, he is seen on the show Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha where he essays the role of Chetan Rawal. 

One of Pankit’s most love roles is of Ajay Desai, a cop, in Special Squad. 

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him to share some memories from his show Special Squad, to which Pankit said that it’s one of his favorite shows that he has been a part of. 

He further said that back then, he was just like the character of Ajay Desai, who was fun-loving, flamboyant, etc. 

Pankit also spoke about how the entire team was supportive, and they used to have lot of fun while shooting for the series.

He also recalled the time when he lost his dear friend and co-star Kuljeet Randhawa, who had essayed the role Shaina in the series. 

Pankit revealed that he and Kuljeet were supposed to catch up for a movie with a couple of friends just two days before the fateful night. 

He said that Kuljeet was confused and had gone to Delhi to meet her parents. When she came back, she had called him and planned to go out for a movie. 

But since he was busy shooting, he told her that they would go in a day’s time. She told him that she will plan out the outing with friends and let him know the plan. 

Post that conversation, within a day, he got the news of her passing away, which shocked him and made his numb. He was shattered to have lost a dear friend. 

At the end, he said that Special Squad was a team that was like a family, and losing one of them was painful, but he does have the best memories of shooting the show.
