MUMBAI: In the industry, producer Sandiip Sikcand is a well-known figure. In addition to his contributions to Hindi TV, he has left his stamp on the regional TV scene. In an exclusive interview, Sandiip discusses marriage, his opinions on the ongoing controversy about the younger and older generation of TV actors, and other topics.
Opening up on his quirky sense of style, Sandiip said, “I just wear clothes that I like, I don't really think about confidence and all. I personally do have a little outlandish taste and I like bright and vibrant. I carry off anything as long as I am comfortable. For me the keyword is comfort. We need to be comfortable in what we wear as we wear our clothes throughout the day.”
On friendships in the entertainment industry, Sandiip said, “I feel it's a mix of both. Speaking from personal experience, yes I have some really strong bonds that I made in TV. At the same time, I have also met some people who you realise only want to be friends with you thinking it is beneficial for them. In such instances, I chose to walk away. Apart from that I have made some really good friends and I truly value them.”
When if marriage is on the cards for him, Sandiip said, “Not really, I feel that I have reached that age where I am pretty happy and I am comfortable in my space. At this age, adjusting and accommodating might be a little difficult but as they say 'never say never', as of now I don't think I am ready for marriage.”
