Punjabi Family Hunt on Imagine

Imagine is ready to come up with yet another reality show but with a new concept. It’s something on the lines of the Big Fat Indian Wedding and has been tentatively titled Punjabi Family Hunt. A source says, “The channel is going to come up with a show that will cover a big fat Punjabi family wedding in India. The target is to highlight the tradition and norms of this particular joint Punjabi family. At present the channel has selected five Punjabi families out of which one is from Chandigarh, two from Delhi and the other two from other places in Punjab. The channel will select one family that has the best camera profile. As of now the channel has thought about covering the Sehgals from Delhi but things can change. The families that are participating in the show are commoners. “The family will be under camera observation for 45 days where the wedding preparation till the final wedding will be covered. But, this does not mean they will have to stay in the house all the time as they can do all their daily chores just the way they would have done otherwise. The shooting for the same starts in February and the show goes on-air in March.” Imagine TV head content and communication Harsh Rohatgi confirmed the show.
