MUMBAI: Actor Rahul Sharma has been devastated with the death of superstar Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor. The actor says that it has taken him some time to come to terms with it. “Just when I woke up, I heard the news and was affected. It was shocking but more than shocking it broke my heart and for two minutes I could not give any reaction. I felt that someone special has gone. I saw that many people felt the same way which proves that they were such people that just with their acting skills they left a mark in everyone’s heart. Everyone started feeling like one of their own had gone,” he says.
Irrfan’s struggle in the industry has taught Rahul a lot, he says. “None of his films is disliked by anyone I personally like all his films, be it Paan Singh Tomar, Life of Pi, Angrezi Medium, Maqbool. I learned so much from him. The first thing is that no matter who you are or how talented you are but you always need to work on your craft and always believe in yourself. He also taught us that it’s important to have patience in life and that one day you achieve everything on your own. The second thing is to never give up in life and always see life in a positive way, always work on yourself, always dedicate yourself to your work, and what you love to do,” he adds. On death of Rishi Kapoor he says, "I feel very sad. He was epitome of romance. With Neetu Singh he made a perfect on-screen and off-screen pair. His films like Khel Khel mein, Sagar, Bobby, Naseeb and Kabhi Kabhi all were fabulous. I am feeling so hurt that it will take some days for me to get back to normal. The dream t owork with these superstars is only a dream now"
