MUMBAI: Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame Divyanka Tripathi is all set to make her web series debut with ALTBalaji’s Chef, which revolves around the life of two chefs. While Divyanka confirmed the news a few months ago, Ekta was still in search of the male lead for the show.
Now, we hear that the makers have signed Rajeev Khandelwal to play the main lead. Rajeev made his debut in the digital world this year with ALTBalaji’s Haqq Se.
Chef is said to be a mature love story—an emotional tale with a tinge of comedy. The show, which is expected to launch by the year-end, will be penned by popular author Jaya Misra. As Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is still on, Divyanka will have to juggle her time between the two.
Rajeev was last seen in Zee TV’s popular talk show Juzz Baatt, which gained immense popularity, as a lot of actors opened up to about their personal lives and audiences saw a different side to their favorite actors. Divyanka was also one of the guests. She had put her pregnancy rumors to rest on this show.
