Sounds like apocalypse?
It is indeed quite apocalyptic for all Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fans at the moment. Reason? The lead hero of the show, Karan Patel aka Raman Bhalla, has gone on to tweet which is suggestive of his disappointment with the show and subtle inference on his exit.
Media and fans have begun speculating on Raman’s end of journey in YHM and devotees of the popular serial have started weeping buckets.
This is his tweet:
He also went on to shoot a second one:#YehHaiMohabbatein is and will always be my connection to you ... #RKB ho na ho ... #TheShowMustGoOn ...!!

Now that everyone has speculatively confirmed about Karan being passé in YHM, we would like to bring some good news for #RKB fans.We do what we are told to do .... #dontTagMe #Actorsloophole . Blame or praise our #Creatives #TheirBrain #WeHaveNoSay

Our credible source informed that the only thing Karan ‘exited’ today was his apartment lift, and he is still an integral part of the above mentioned Balaji Telefilms’ serial airing on Star Plus.
So what’s the real story behind the tweets? Why is Karan upset?
We spill the beans here (as shared by our source).
“Karan and the entire cast at YHM are very unhappy with the way the production people have treated them when it comes to contract renewals. It’s been due since December 2015. Imagine if someone like Karan, hero of such a popular show, is kept hanging in the air. His tweets reflect his frustration and anger.”
“Apart from that, he has also been facing issues at the creative level (thus the second tweet). Right now the track is focussing only on Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) and Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi), and he has not much to do. Yesterday, Karan had a meeting with the creative team and it did not end on a good note. He was visibly upset. The tweets are a culmination of his distress.”
It is evident that Karan is upset. However, we have been told that given his long lasting relationship with Balaji and head honcho Ekta Kapoor, he will not take the extreme step of quitting the show.
“He has had it. He is using his popularity and fan base to send across a message to the production people. He wants them to treat him better,” concluded the source.
Scenario is quite fiery, it seems. Where will it lead to only time will tell.
Karan did not respond to our query and Ketan Gupta, Chief Operating Officer (Balaji Telefilms Ltd.), also chose not to comment till the time of filing the article.
