MUMBAI: Change is the only thing that is constant in one’s life. It is only way that one can grow in life. Television celebrities also understand and go by this philosophy.
After playing prominent roles in high-voltage family dramas, there comes a time when they feel like changing the genre or the mode of acting. The handsome Jigar Modi from Star Plus’ popular Saath Nibhana Saathiya feels the same way.
Vishal made his television debut with Sony TV’s Kuchh Is Tara and was later seen in Kasamh Se, Kis Desh Mei Hai Meraa Dil, and other shows. Vishal has also been a part of reality TV shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 (Colors) and Box Cricket League Season 2 (Colors). He was recently seen in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya - Saavan Mahotsav.
The actor not only enjoys a huge fan following in India but abroad also. Vishal also loves interacting with his fans. In a tête-à-tête with TellyChakkar, Vishal shared that he would now like to be a part of digital media more than TV.
‘Web lets you live many roles in a shorter span of time,’ says the actor. ‘My role in Saath Nibhana Saathiya had become really monotonous and there seemed no growth in it after a point of time,” further adds Vishal.
Talking about the kind of roles he would like to play now, the actor says, ‘I would simply love to play negative, realistic roles. Something that catches the eye! Something like a village boy who has a lingo of a Punjabi–Bihari. That would give me something new to learn,’ he says.
Vishal shares that he is currently busy binge watching Radhika Apte’s web series Ghoul and would love to play something an interesting character in a web series soon.
Talking about his fans, Vishal says, ‘I simply love and adore my fans, as they know the best possible ways to make you feel loved. I have had my set of good and bad experiences, but I still love each one of them. The best part about working globally is that you get recognized all around and fans express their love in the most creative and innovative way possible.’
‘Even though Arjit Taneja, Mrunal Thakur, others, and I have been constant with our shows in Indonesia and India, but truly, fans treat Shaheer like a God there in Indonesia. It is pleasant to see them doing such sweet gestures for us, and we all are thankful to each one of them,’ he says.
