Shalini S Sahuta simply loves traveling and shopping. And the one thing that that she always craves to do is to shop and shop well. Well, recently, the travel destination for the girl happened to be Hong Kong and Macau, and here is Shalini getting into a detailed talk on her well-planned vacation.
Says Shalini, “I am not the backpacker kind of a traveler; I am a luxury traveler. I love luxury hotels, malls and resorts and undoubtedly, shopping tops the list. This time it was Hong Kong and Macau.”
Sharing details further, she states, “It was a 10 days extensive trip to Hong Kong as I explored the city, and visited almost all the tourist spots in the place. I went on top of the Victoria Peak, which is the highest peak point in HK through the 125-year-old gravity-defying Peak Tram. If there is one thing you need to do in HK, it is to have a glimpse of the view from the top of the peak. It is simply breathtaking.”
Shalini also visited the luxurious malls, and the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. “I visited Disney Land and the Ocean Park, and the experience at the Ocean Park was a hair raiser. It happens to be Hong Kong's first and only floorless roller coaster. Riders are plunged towards the South China Sea with their legs dangling in the air. It’s the fastest roller coaster in Hong Kong. I was enthralled, as I had always dreamt of visiting the Disney Land when I was a kid. It is the happiest place on earth, and I danced with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Tweety.”
She continues, “HK is a make-up heaven for women, as you get all the brands in the world, especially the Korean brands. The luxury shoes and brands of bags make you go weak in your knees and also make a big hole in your pocket (laughs).”
Talking about her Macau visit, Shalini avers, “In Macau, the one place to be is the Venatian Hotel. If you love Venice you will love Venetian. It has the finest of shopping, entertainment and dining facilities, thereby giving guests a luxurious abode to unwind. It’s by far The pinnacle of opulence."
Shalini is a bit saddened now, as she has gotten back to reality... from the heavenly abode of her vacation.
Shalini, indeed a great way to rejuvenate and get back to the grind...
