After the success of Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki and Kittu Sab Jaanti Hai, Sahara One is gung ho for its new daily titled Hum.
It will occupy the time slot of 8.30 p.m and is set to hit the small screen this October.
Breaking the monotony of women driven shows, this serial will revolve around men. It's an out and out family drama with Vikram Ghokale playing the head of the family. Dimple Hirji who dons the character of Sanjana in Kahiin To Hoga is writing the script for this show. Says Dimple, "Our target is a strong storyline and an appealing star cast. Though I can't reveal much, the story revolves around the daughter-in-law and the family." Dimple will also be seen acting in the show, but will make an entry sometime later.
Of the five sons, Chaitanya Choudary, Sachin Tyagi and Vishal Singh have been zeroed in, while two are still not finalized. The daughter of the house will be played by Rezwan who has modelled for a few products and this will be her first ever daily show.
Chaitanya had heard the script a year back and had shown interest for the same. "Dimple was my co star in Kahiin To Hoga and they wanted me to act in it. It is an interesting character, and most importantly different from Akshat. I have been loaded with offers, but all on the lines of Akshat," says Chaitanya.
Unwilling to reveal much, he explains, "I play a grey character and I always wanted to do something of this sort,". The actor is eagerly waiting for the launch of his afternoon weekly, Akhiyon Ke Jharokon Se on Star Plus.
Vishal Singh who can be currently tracked in Sony's Ek Ladki Anjaani Si stays tight lipped about his presence on the show. "99 percent I am doing the show!" says Vishal.
Shweta Gulati who can be recalled as the pretty lass Tia, makes her first appearance after the phenomenal success of Remix. "Yes, I will be doing the show and will play Chaitanya and Vishal's love interest," states Shweta.
The production house is still hunting for the female protagonist. "We are shortlisting actors for Krishna's character. We couldn't find any one from the industry so we thought of auditioning,"affirms Dimple.
Naved Antule, the producer of this show has earlier made Muskaan for Zee, Kohra for Star, Mausam and many more.
With a great miscellanea of actors bound together, let's see whether this show proves to be a channel driver for Sahara One!
