Subhankar-Sweta back as a couple in Zee Bangla’s Jarowar Jhumko

Zee Bangla

Our loyal readers, who are eagerly looking forward to more updates on Zee Bangla’s upcoming serial Jarowar Jhumko (Blues Production), here we are with a piece for you all!

Tellychakkar.com had exclusively reported about talented actress Sweta Bhattacharya playing the lead role of Jhumko in the serial. We had also reported that the serial is based on jewelry.

Now, can you guess who has been roped in to play the male lead?

Well, it’s Subhankar Saha. He will play the role of Kohinoor and Jhumko will be his love interest.

For the uninitiated, both Subhankar and Sweta were last seen as a couple in the soap Tumi Robe Nirobe.

Ankita Majumder, who last played the female lead in Aakash Aath's 'Amader Chhoto Nodi', will be seen in the role of Sweta’s elder sister. Her name would be Jarowa. She will be of sacrificing nature. In their mother’s absence, she will sacrifice her own happiness to take care of her father and sister.

So guys, you can notice that the title of the serial has both the sister’s names. As per the plot, the sisters will share a deep bonding.

Snehasish Chakraborty of Blues Production said about the serial, “It will explore human relations with jewelry as its backdrop. Chhau nach (an Indian dance form) will also play a major role here. It will narrate the journey, struggle and fight of Jhumko, a jewelry maker’s daughter.”

“It’s an effort to represent those people, who are responsible behind the beautiful creations of ornaments. In some of the episodes, real jewelry makers will be seen acting,” he added.

When quizzed how he coined the idea, he quipped, “To tell you the truth, I came across the idea while purchasing jewelry for my wife. We had bought a really beautiful and expensive jewelry. Impressed by its impeccable design, I had thought about the person who had designed such a beautiful ornament. So, when I was asked by the channel for a new concept, I shared my idea of doing a soap on jewelry makers which they liked.”

He added, “Before beginning the shooting of the serial, we did a workshop on jewelry making where we got to meet some really talented artists. It’s a different concept introduced for the first time in Bengal.”

So readers, gear up for the show.

Jarowar Jhumko will replace Bedini Moluyar Kwatha. It will launch from 22 August, and air Monday to Saturday, 8 pm.
