KOLKATA: Director Sudeb Ghosh, who has directed films like Mon Bhanga Aaina and Ulki (yet to release) and TV shows like Kumor Parar Gorur Gari and Ami Sei Meye, is gearing up for his upcoming film Ekla Aami starring ace actor Abhishek Chatterjee in the lead role.
Speaking about his film, Sudeb said to TellyChakkar, ‘It is a love story where friendship plays a significant role. These days, love or friendship doesn’t last long. The film tries to focus on why relationships break up so easily in today’s time.’
When asked if the film focuses only on the problem, he said, ‘The film also speaks about the solution.’
Ekla Aami comprises of artists from India as well as Bangladesh. In addition to Abhishek, it stars Abhiraj Dasgupta, Tamal Ray Chowdhury, Anamika Saha, Soma Chakraborty, Tiger Rajib (Bangladesh), Suma Chowdhury (Bangladesh), Samrat Biswas, and others.
So where is it being shot? Sudeb said, ‘We have already started shooting in Kolkata, and next, we plan to shoot in Ladakh, Sikkim and, Nepal.’
Ekla Aami is produced by Whiteson Films. The makers are eyeing a 2019 release.
