Sudeep Sarangi hopes to make it big one day

After his successful stint in Tamil films with a lead role in Kadal Kondian, Sudeep Sarangi, the quintessential cosmopolitan young actor has shifted base to Mumbai. To his credit here, is his portrayal of Arjun in a Star Plus’ popular show Prithiviraj Chouhan. Though his role as a handicapped person in the Bengali film Tomake Salaam was very challenging, Sudeep proved that he can easily master roles which do not rest on mere glamour – a quotient he has in plenty and also a factor that helped him in his brief stint as a model for consumer products. Coming from the theatre background, Sudeep has acted in plays like Baghdad Ka Ghulam, Bhagwat Ajjukyyam with Raghubir Yadav and Arshad Khan. Sudeep, born and brought up in Bokaro, moved to Mumbai, feels that he is a Mumbaikar at heart. He was also seen in Baba Aiso Var Dhoondho on NDTV Imagine, Crime Patrol on Sony Entertainment Television. He will soon be seen in an episodic on Haunted Nights that went on air on Sahara One on 13 August. Though people have seen him in various shows, movies and television series, very few people know about his personal life. “Well I have many friends but I don’t like to socialize or attend page 3 parties. I have a set of school and college friends with whom I go out with. I am very simple as I hail from a middle-class family and am thankful to God and my family for me being here in this industry,” said Sudeep. He added, “As of now, I am looking forward for challenging roles that are different that no one has done earlier. As a person I am a bit of a reserved kind and I take time to open up.
