Surbhi Tiwari in Star Plus' Diya Baati

TellyChakkar earlier reported about Shashi and Sumeet Mittal’s next show on Star Plus titled Diya Baati having Anas Rashid and new comer Deepika as the leads. Now the latest we bring to you is that popular actress Surbhi Tiwari who was last seen in Zee TV’s Agle Janam has been roped in to play an important role in the show. Our source says, “Shooting for Diya Baati has begun in full swing at Pushkar. The cast and crew have already started shooting and Surbhi Tiwari will be seen playing young Deepika’s mother in the show. Surbhi’s character will be called Kanchan who’s well educated and attached to her roots and tradition. As the story is based in Pushkar, Rajasthan, she will be playing a cameo of a Marwari woman.” Surbhi Tiwari remained unavailable for comments.
