MUMBAI : Ram Navami holds immense importance in Hindu culture as it commemorates the birth of Lord Ram, who was born on Navami Tithi during the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. Preceding Ram Navami, devotees observe nine days of worship dedicated to the nine different forms of Goddess Durga during Chaitra Navratri. On the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri, devotees celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Ram. On the occasion of Ram Navami, Rachi Sharma from Kumkum Bhagya opened up about her most cherished memories of the festival and how she plan on celebrating it this year.
Rachi Sharma, who essays the role of Poorvi in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya said, “I cherish the vibrant festivities of Chaitra Navratri and Ram Navami in my hometown, Indore. Fond memories flood back of my childhood days, staying up late near the nearby temple, immersed in lively celebrations. Throughout the nine auspicious days of Navratri, I make it a point to seek blessings from Lord Rama and Maa Durga at the temple. Ram Navami, the pinnacle of Chaitra Navratri, holds special significance as Lord Rama's birthday, often accompanied by the recitation of the epic 'Ramayan'. On this occasion, people fast and worship both Hanuman and Lord Ram. I extend heartfelt wishes to all my fans and viewers for a joyous Navratri and Ram Navami celebration”.
