There is no formula of building up chemistry: Shashank Vyas

Shashank Vyas
Being paired opposite nine beautiful ladies (Pratyusha Banerjee, Toral Rasputra, Anjum Farooki, Sriti Jha, Sargun Mehta, Roop Durgapal, Deblina Chatterjee, Geetanjali Mishra and Aasiya Kazi) on one show is nothing but sheer luck for an onlooker, but not for Shashank Vyas of Colors’ Balika Vadhu. “Trust me, it gets very difficult to start from scratch all the time. With me it’s been like this for a long time now with the actresses paired opposite me getting replaced and new ones being added. Take the last example, I had just reached the right frequency (acting wise) with Sargun (Mehta) and then I was introduced to Aasiya Kazi (Sargun’s replacement as Ganga in Balika Vadhu). It was like a huge challenge being thrown upon me,” states the artist. He further goes on to add, “When I am paired opposite a new co-star I feel responsible towards her being accepted by the audience. So I try and put that extra effort to take the scenes to better levels for the viewers to connect with the suddenly changed face.” What about the chemistry? “That’s something one needs to work extremely hard on,” confesses the tall man. So are there any steps or formula that you follow to bring the right chemistry on-screen? “There can’t be a formula to get the tuning right. It’s just that you need to present yourself the way you are. If you’re a nice human being people connect with you.” Well said, Shashank!!
