TV actors share their thoughts on World Environment Day

World Environment Day
In order to raise global awareness about the need to take positive action on environmental conditions, every year 5 June is celebrated as World Environment Day. With the day in mind, Tellychakkar.com talked to some of your favourite TV actors and asked them about their views on World Environment Day, what does it mean to them and what steps should be taken to make world a better place to live in. Gorgeous Aashka Goradia, who is playing Maharani Bhatiyani in Sony Entertainment Television’s Maharana Pratap, and is a part of Esha Yoga Foundation in Coimbatore that takes initiatives to make the masses aware about environment averred, “There are many commemorative days in a year that comes and goes, but to implement something, you don’t need any particular day. I don’t understand why being in a non-industrial hub city, we are the most polluted metropolis.” She continued, “On the other hand, Gujarat being an industrial state, is the most clean and non-polluted place. Throwing garbage bags from posh cars, people think they look very cool and others who see them doing so get influenced and imitate. Why? Let’s be cautious and help our next generation breathe easy. Please plant trees and make this world a better place to live in.” Said handsome hunk Rithvik Dhanjani aka Arjun from Pavitra Rishta, “In today’s times, it is a very serious issue to talk about. The first and foremost thing is to educate the masses about saving the environment. I am glad that today’s generation is aware and doing their bit in this direction. Talking about steps, I think the first thing that the government should do is to ban the usage of plastic bags; it takes more many years for these bags to get disposed. You can always substitute them with jute or paper bags. Also there should be many dustbins around so that people can throw their stuff in them instead of dirtying everywhere. Then, we should use portable chargers to save electricity and always use eco-friendly gadgets. If we do this much, to begin with, I tell you, our life will be very sorted and clean.” “Since morning I have been listening about World Environment Day on FM radio channels. I was shocked when I heard that around 20,000 children die of hunger. So, I request everyone to not waste food. People are staying lavishly not thinking about future. I, for one, never waste food. Also people should desist from wasting water. Remember, we are the one who can save this planet,” observed Niaa Sharma (Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai). On the other hand, Gautam Rode from Star Plus’ Saraswatichandra, makes sure that he gets his vehicle PUC (Pollution Under Control) done from time to time. “This will surely save our planet from pollution”, he feels. Maintained Pratyusha Bannerjee, who was last seen in Colors’ Balika Vadhu, “From our school times, we have been learning to keep the environment clean. We must make sure that we don’t litter around and throw garbage bins here and there. So according to me everyday should be World Environment Day for us. We should start making this world a better place to live.” Lastly, Shaheer Sheikh, who will be seen in Star Plus’ upcoming show Mahabharat added, “I believe that the main problem is people using plastic bags. I think the usage of plastic bags should be banned immediately. I am doing my bit; I use my bicycle for my transport. I also conserve electricity and believe in recycling everything.” So these are the views of your TV actors. Lets us know your thoughts on this topic by commenting below.
